Just ran across this big of legislation in the State house. "An Act To Require Employers In This State, And Entities Who Contract With A Government Agency In This State, And Their Subcontractors To Use The Federal E-Verify Program To Verify The Work Authorization Of Newly Hired Employees" Employers with 25 or more employees who do business with any government agency would have to verify the eligibility of their new hires through the E-Verify program run by Homeland Security. This also applies to any subcontractor as well.
